This is a collaborative blog written by staff interested in participatory research at the Stockholm Environment Institute, York, UK. What do we mean by participatory research? Well, here we’re using it in a really broad way to encompass projects which engage the public, whether that’s ‘crowdsourcing’ or extracting information from, working with people to define research questions and conduct the research, or just communicating results of research. We use a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods in our research, some are well-established but others are more novel.

Regular blogs will be authored by SEI York staff, and if you’d like to guest blog for us, then please get in touch with us via the Contact Form below.
